The Virtual Weddings at Stubborn Brothers Brewery

Shawano, WI | May 30, 2020

You read that right, “weddings”! An amazing group of local wedding vendors collaborated and offered their services to 3 deserving couples whose wedding plans were effected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Yes, they really did get married that day while their friends and family were able to virtually tune in and share the special moment with them! This unique event was styled to perfection with spring florals, peachy pink tones, and an elegance that matched the beautifully restored brewery! You could feel the love, happiness, and relief from each couple as they walked hand in hand together back down the isle!

Scroll below to preview each couples magical moments from that day! And shout out to all of the vendors who donated their time and talents to make this event such a beautiful and memorable experience for the newlyweds!

The Ainsworths | Shawland Dairy | Homestead Session

Shawano, WI

Homestead sessions, a documentation of the hard working families that spend a lifetime, generation after generation, working the land and withstanding the test of time. Waking up every morning, walking out to open that same barn door they’ve walked though thousands of times, and doing more than a job, but something that they truly love. I ventured into photographing homesteads initially because of the increasing number of small family farms that have been lost and sold in recent years…It’s been a way for many families to have a tangible item that they can pair with the countless years of memories. And a way to stop time, to preserve a piece of their history, and to share with their future generations.

However, in this instance the Ainsworth homestead is doing quiet the opposite, expanding! Changing with the times. After 4 generations of milking in this barn, today was the final day. Tomorrow morning they will be moving the cows to their new home, a state of the art free-stall barn with robotic milkers. These photos don’t mark the end of a legacy, but do mark the end of an era. In 50-100 years the future generations will have something to look back on, to see where they came from, and appreciate where these hard working men have brought them.

Storm + Sierra | Rustic Sunset Engagement | Shiocton, WI

Summer golden light, it doesn’t come any better than this! It also comes with a swarm of mosquitos, but we’ll skip that detail and just say these images were worth the 10+ bug bites!

I feel like it’s safe to say I’ve hit a new “milestone” as a photographer! You see, I photographed Sierra over 5 years ago for her senior portraits and now here she is, engaged and one of my 2020 brides! I’m so honored to have amazing clients like her that stick with me and allow me to document the milestones in their life!

Everything about this rustic location I recently discovered speaks to my style! Scroll below to view a few of my favorites!

The Greuels

Spring Family Session | Clintonville, WI

Spring, it’s unpredictable to say the least…We rescheduled this session twice, and I think the saying “third times a charm” definitely applies here! I hit a photographers jackpot the other night with this stylish family of six, golden light, warm weather, green grass and four happy girls! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing this family the past 5 years and it’s safe to say, this was my favorite session to date with them. Scroll down to see just a few of my favorites!

Henley | 6 Days

Studio Newborn Session

Our little girl! I can’t deny, it took me a few days before saying “her” and “she” sounded right…and now, I couldn’t begin to imagine it any other way! She is that piece of my heart that I didn’t know was missing ❤ We are completely captivated by her beauty and sweet demeanor. Henley has been the perfect addition to our family and little does she know, she has a big brother who adores her more than anything and two loving parents who feel blessed beyond words!
